Migration of Intercontinental VM (USA Region > Australia Region) using Storage Snapshot through Google Cloud Internal Private Network in less than 30 minutes

In this real-world based project, I acted as a Cloud Specialist in a project to migrate application and database into an intercontinental (US → Australia Region) and fully private way using Google Cloud infrastructure.

It was defined that after implementing the services focused on MySQL database and Registration Application of a large US clinic, Google Cloud Storage Snapshots would be used to migrate all data from the VMs.

The objective was to create disk snapshots, create new disks in Australia region, provision new instances, and achieve a successful migration in a secure and fast manner.

Both instances in Australian region got created on Google Cloud

The data that was there when the migration started from US region is shown that it has been successfully migrated to Australian region

Now adding more records once the database is inAustralian region

We can see the new records in Australian region got populated from the mySQL database records addition
